Outdoor Dining in South Lake Union

As the Seattle winter grey rolls in, there's a new way to support local in a dry, safe way. Local restaurants and retailers need our help now more than ever - South Lake Union's Regrade Streateries offer a way to do this without having to battle the elements.

The Regrade Streateries are a collection of two different outdoor seating areas featuring fencing, tent canopies, and bistro seating. Lit up at night (err, 4 p.m.), these pop-up patios support SLU retailers and create an Insta-worthy landing pad for those who can't get enough of their favorite bites.

The Streateries are open daily from 8am-8pm and are available for use by the public now through the end of the year. They even have outdoor heaters to keep you cozy during your pit stop.

The Regrade Streateries can be found at:

  • Sixth Avenue between Lenora and Virginia
  • Seventh Avenue between Blanchard and Lenora

Hot tip: Amazon garages at 2021 7th Avenue and 2121 8th Avenue offer free parking on nights and weekends, so you can worry less about getting there and focus on enjoying your stay.

What to eat while you're there

Each Streatery is perfectly situated just steps from a number of delicious eating options. From healthy bowls to hearty cravings, there's something for everyone. (Even you, picky eaters).

Salads and street food, oh my! Just down the street between Lenora and Virginia, this Streatery is the perfect lunch getaway.

For a health-conscious and delicious lunch, stop by Evergreens. You'll never be bored by this menu: it is constantly being updated with salads for the season.

For your sandwich fix, try Potbelly Sandwich Shop for delivery or curbside pickup. They have deals for just $5 a sandwich!

Or try the flavors of Marination which combine authentic Hawaiian and Korean flavors that melt into what they can only describe as "aloha in your mouth." Pictured left: Aloha tots and yes, they're as delicious and comforting as they look.

Finally, try Mamnoon Street, a fast-paced Lebanese/Syrian restaurant and the younger, award-winning sister to Seattle-famous Mamnoon. The menu is extensive, with favorites like harra frites, shareable to-go cocktails, and shawarma wraps.

Start your day right with a coffee or fresh juice from Joe & The Juice. They only use the freshest ingredients, like plant-based protein. Stop in or order contactless pickup. The breakfast pastries make a yummy treat or go for a panini (like spicy tuna) for a more filling pick-me-up.

When you're in a hurry, the Amazon Go store has ready-made lunch options or those last-minute ingredients you need in a pinch. And yes, the "I just walked out without paying!" joke is always funny.

When the sun starts to set, Casco Antiguo will call your name. The classic margarita is a classic for a reason, but we recommend the Fuego y Humo for a spicy alternative. Take a sharable appie, like queso and mini rellenos, to the Streatery to enjoy with a few friends - up to five, please!

Winter hibernation is coming, but it shouldn't stop you from indulging in your favorite SLU restaurants and supporting local businesses. With the heated and covered Regrade Streateries here through the end of the year, eating out and supporting local has never been easier.

Stop by for fresh air and fresh eats!
