Courtyard by Marriott, Walla Walla

A new option to consider

A recent stay at the Courtyard in Walla Walla was a great experience. First, it's brand new, always a bonus. Second, we had a suite (there are three floors, 112 rooms, and eight suites). The bedroom in the suite isn't huge (we had a king-sized bed), but you don't need space there. The bathroom was very spacious, and the living area had a full couch, large TV, wet bar, microwave, etc. Plus enough floor space to lay down and do all the stretches needed to be ready for a day in wine country. Guest rooms are wireless and it's complimentary. Lobby and public spaces also offer complimentary WiFi. For a charge, you can get enhanced high speed: video chat, download large files, stream.

Exhibition kitchen

If you're in town for a meeting, they have two meeting rooms with a total of 2,936 square feet. These rooms have wireless capability, as well as being hardwired.

Their outdoor area has seating and a fireplace. There is an indoor pool and outdoor Whirlpool, plus a fitness room with cardiovascular equipment and free weights.

The hotel is off Main Street in downtown Walla Walla. In warmer weather, you can walk just about anywhere. We were there in February and driving seemed a better plan.

The big difference here (of course, this is the type of thing we're interested in here at Seattle DINING!), is their Bistro Plus restaurant which offers onsite dining (not just breakfast). There is an exhibition kitchen where the executive chef does cooking demos and plates right in front of you. A little extra entertainment for your stay!
