Sing it from the rooftops - you love truffles! Your dream come true is the Oregon Truffle Festival held at the end of January over ten days in various locations. Amazing chefs, dinners, tasting events, truffle industry experts, truffle dog training. It's the only event of its kind in the U.S., and actually the first truffle festival in the English-speaking world. You pick and choose how you want to be involved. And it's in Oregon! Renee Erickson will be at the Grand Truffle Dinner, and we know how Seattle-ites feel about her. If for no other reason (and there are hundreds) go support her! There will be chefs from Oregon, some who started and stayed there, some who have come via New York or San Francisco, and from very well-known spots (Eleven Madison Park NY, Anchor and Hope, SF); and chefs from elsewhere, like Chris Cosentino from Cockscomb in San Francisco. There's Mark Bitterman, a mixologist who owns The Meadow with locations in Portland and New York, offering the largest selection of artisan salt and cocktail bitters in the world. And there's Oregon Brewmaster Christian DeBenedetti.

True foodies should be tremendously excited about two featured guests. Dave Arnold, chef and author, is considered to be a 'thought leader' in the world of food and drink, and has been published in The New York Times, Food and Wine, Huffington Post, and Popular Science. He won a James Beard Award in 2015 for Best Beverage Book. Harold McGee writes and lectures about the science of cooking, has taught at Yale, and been published in The New York Times and wrote On Food & Cooking: the Science & Lore of the Kitchen. Time magazine named him one of the world's most influential people in 2008.

Fascinating, yes, but the key here is how much fun this event provides. Attend truffle talks, be part of panel discussions, be shuttled to wine country, pair beverages and truffle bites, experience a real truffle hunt, savor amazing dinners, shop at the Fresh Truffle Marketplace.
