We do love September! Revisit favorite spots, enjoy an iconic event in Port Angeles, get familiar with Pike Brewing's rebranding and new head brewer, and more!

21st Annual Dungeness Crab & Seafood Festival

If it takes more than the festival name to grab you, you're not a true Northwesterner! Who can resist a waterfront festival with sweet Dungeness crab? Or the 15,000-square-foot Crab Central tent for just-caught whole crab dinners with fresh corn and coleslaw? Local and regional restaurants offer an expansive menu of more than 60 items including Alaska scallops, halibut fish and chips, BBQ, and other non-seafood items. More? A live oyster bar; Northwest beer, wine, cocktails; live music on 3 stages; family-friendly activities. Admission is free. Nine tons of fresh whole Dungeness crab were sold in 2019. Don't miss this!

The Dungeness Crab & Seafood Festival's 21st annual event takes place over three days-Friday-Sunday October 7-9. Hours are Friday and Saturday 10 a.m.-9 p.m., Sunday 10 a.m.-5 p.m. It all takes place at the Port Angeles City Pier right on the downtown waterfront.

Russell's Restaurant & Loft

Russell's is family owned and operated with Chef Russell Lowell at the helm. The menu specializes in elevated New American comfort food with a major focus on local purveyors and local, fresh ingredients. All proteins on the menu, from steaks to salmon, are broken down in-house daily, providing superior quality and a generous portion size for each guest. Russell's boasts an extensive wine list featuring over 100 Washington wineries, and a list of thoughtful cocktails. Perfect for a special occasion or a simple night out - you'll always be well taken care of at this Bothell gem.

Football season has started, already! Pogacha is a great place to watch the games and enjoy hand-crafted cocktails and delicious appetizers. And as the weather cools, house-made pasta dishes like Chicken Dijon, Bella Mushroom Ravioli, and Dobar Chicken fill that comfort food need. Have a desire to celebrate and help someone else? From September to November, Chloe Prosecco is donating $2.00/case to the Women's Breast Cancer Foundation. Celebrate with Chloe at Pogacha and help fight cancer. Besides football, the holidays are on the horizon and it's time to think about catering for your parties. Pogacha has your back!

Pogacha is located at 2707 78th Ave SE on Mercer Island. Dinner is offered 4-9 p.m. daily, brunch Saturday-Sunday 10 a.m.-3 p.m., and lunch Wednesday-Friday 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Contact Jane at 425-455-5670 to schedule your catering event or make reservations.
