November Delights

Fall is here and winter approaches. Why do all seasons revolve around food and getaways? Clearly they're what make life worth living - especially when sharing with friends and family.

Thanksgiving Frog Box from Barking Frog

A Thanksgiving meal shared around your table is one of the year's highlights. Sharing a Chef Bobby Moore Thanksgiving feast around your table is going to make it THE highlight of the year. His Thanksgiving Frog Box includes YouTube instructions to cook this epic meal at home. You and your three guests will savor fall squash soup, autumn salad, turkey breast, turkey confit bread pudding/whipped Yukon Gold potatoes, honey glazed baby carrots/brussels sprouts, cranberry sauce, turkey gravy, half a pumpkin pie/half a pecan pie, plus two bottles of Mark Ryan wine. Vegetarian? A special vegetarian sampler is available. Best Thanksgiving ever!

Your Thanksgiving Frog Box must be ordered by 5 p.m. on November 12. Your box must be picked up between noon-2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 24 from the Willows Lodge/Barking Frog parking lot. Order early as there are limited quantities. $350 plus tax for the Frog Box. Purchase online at

A Bit of Taste - Queen Anne Olive Oil Co.

Fall simply demands more attention on mushroom and sage, so this month's EVOO Flavor of the Month is Sage (or Wild Mushroom & Sage). Give your dishes that deeper flavor that makes them irresistible. The balsamic flavor of the month is Elderflower which is used in food and beverages (shrubs!) for flavoring and in medicines for anti-inflammatory properties. We aren't saying our Elderflower White Balsamic will cure your cold weather rigidity, but when it tastes this good, who cares? Holidays are heading our way: consider ordering early to be ready to make your snacks and meals the best ever!

A Bit of Taste is located at 1629 Queen Anne Ave N, Suite 100, on top of Queen Anne hill. Open Tuesday-Thursday noon to 6 p.m., and Friday-Sunday noon to 5 p.m. Find recipes here. 206-420-2989.
