Chicken burgers with avocado



1 lb. organic ground chicken
1 cup whole wheat Panko Japanese breadcrumbs
1 organic egg
¾ cup Parmesan, finely shredded
1-1/2 cups (about two) organic green onions
2 organic garlic cloves
½ tsp dried sage
½ tsp salt
½ tsp ground pepper

Buns and condiments

2 tbsp extra light olive oil
3-4 Dave's Killer Bread hamburger buns
1 large organic avocado
2 ounces organic arugula or other lettuce
1 organic tomato, sliced
3-4 slices organic cheese of choice
Condiments of choice


Place all patty ingredients in a bowl and mix with hands.

Form 3-4 patties (depending on how hungry you are) so they are larger than buns to account for shrinkage.

Heat oil in skillet over medium-high heat. Cook burgers for 2 minutes or until golden, then flip.

After 1 more minute, top with a piece of cheese and cover the skillet to melt cheese. Once melted, remove patties from skillet.

Toast buns.

Split avocado between 3-4 buns and smash onto the bottom of the bun. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Top with chicken patty, lettuce, and tomato.

Place condiments on the top bun to complete.

Make them your own by using different condiments, pickles, onions, etc.
