Woodin Creek Village

Woodinville's latest tasting destination

You've seen them - many, many residential buildings going up in numerous areas. Undoubtedly there are reasons that draw people to all of them. But Woodin Creek Village (WCV) appeals to those who love wine and food.

Having heard about a new spot to eat in Woodinville, we investigated only to find out it was in Woodin Creek Village just to the left of the main drag after you come off the freeway into the city, amid seemingly hundreds (yes, an exaggeration) of wine tasting rooms. What a fun place to live and visit.

In terms of living, these are apartment homes - studios, one, and two bedrooms. Streets are tree lined and some buildings are next to a green belt which we can only hope will stay in place. The community includes a fitness center; resident lounge; barbecue/grill area; rooftop lounge and firepits, spa/hot tub, dog run; electric car charging stations, pet play area/dog park, concierge services, social events that include food trucks, wine nights and more; courtyard. Even though you'd be living near restaurants, apartments include granite countertops and a variety of interior finishes with black, white, or stainless steel kitchen appliances. Some apartments have a gas range, pantry, and kitchen island. Time to start entertaining.

But the reason the neighborhood caught our attention is the sheer number of wineries.

  • Alexandria Nicole Cellars, tasting room, outdoor seating, small bites
  •  Ambassador Wines of Washington, founded in 2004, no wine snobs among them
  • Ancestry Cellars, each wine has a back story and they love to share them
  • Adams Bench
  • Baer Winery, they welcome all but also offers a special WCV resident club and experience
  • Bayernmoor Cellars, tasting room, gourmet bites that pair with each wine in the tasting
  • Brian Carter Cellars, European-style blends that will inspire (with rabbits!)
  • Rocky Pond Winery, award-winning wines and farm-to-table small plates
  • Rooted Souls Wine, all grapes sourced from Red Mountain AVA
  • Truth Teller Winery, balancing truth and pleasure
  • Tsillan Cellars, coming in 2022
  • Woodinville Wine Country, the place to learn all about the wine

And restaurants, too!

  • Brix Wine Café, moved from Juanita after 13 years, year-round covered patio
  • Island Blends Acai and Poke,
  • Lifted Taco, a taco eatery that offers dine-in and to go freshly-prepared food
  • Rusty Pelican Café, family owned, this is their third spot offering Chicago-style Greek food
  • Sidekick Coffee, locally owned, serving Herkimer roasted coffee, in-house baked pastries, eats
  • Swanky Scoop, small batch super premium ice cream churned at the store
  • Woodin Creek Kitchen and Tap, foodwise something for everyone, plus 30 beers on tap
  • Zeeks, born in the Northwest using fresh and, if possible, local ingredients, NW beer, local wine

And we're guessing this isn't the end of it. You'll need to check it out yourself. Look at the website for open hours and days and plan accordingly.
