Bambuza   206-219-5555
820 Pike St, Seattle   Downtown
Orange or yellow fabric lamps, green walls, bamboo trunks--it's a pleasure to be in here on a rainy day--your spirits start to lift. Actually, it's not bad on a sunny day either, plus there's sidewalk seating. From green papaya salad to ginger duck to shallot ginger asparagus spears, you'll be enjoying every bambuza-bite.
Specializing in Vietnamese.

Café Hue   206-625-9833
312 Second Ave S, Seattle   Pioneer Square
As a generalization, many Vietnamese restaurants are utilitarian. The food may be great but the surroundings are plain. Here is an exception. Designed like a country restaurant, this is a comfortable and pleasant place to enjoy French and Vietnamese dishes. Beer and a nice wine list add to that feeling of comfort.
Specializing in Vietnamese.

Huong Binh   206-720-4907
1207 S Jackson Ste 104, Seattle   South Seattle
Huong Binh offers genuine Vietnamese food--noodle soups are only served on weekends, but on weekdays look for vermicelli, rice and meat.
Specializing in Vietnamese.

I Love Pho   425-401-6400
3900 Factoria Blvd SE, Bellevue   Factoria
Despite it's good size, this place rocks at noon with a line out the door. And with good reason--good food at reasonable prices. Plus the service is quick so if you're on a limited lunch-hour break you'll do fine (as long as you come early or late). Rich, warm colors have been used to make it a comfortable spot and even with a full house, you can actually hear your companions. Along with pho, there's a large menu of stir-fries and other items as well as a special sheet.
Specializing in Vietnamese.

Monsoon   206-325-2111
615 19th Ave E, Seattle   Capitol Hill
Flavorful Vietnamese entrees and sides await your palette at this contemporary slice of life on the east side of Capitol Hill. Prices are under what you might expect for the quality you receive. The interior is lovely and calming.
Specializing in Vietnamese, Christmas (Eve), New Years (Eve).

Saigon Bistro   206-329-4939
1032 S Jackson St Ste 202, Seattle   International District
If you want to break yourself into the world of Vietnamese food but do not want to jump right into the exotic stuff, take it slow with the simple and appetizing food of this bistro.
Specializing in Vietnamese.

Saigon Gourmet   206-624-2611
502 S King St, Seattle   Pioneer Square
Small, austere yet functional restaurants are a hallmark of the International District. Owners know the truth that big budgets do not always guarantee success and Seattle-ites love to find and share hole-in-the-wall spots with great food. Saigon Gourmet is just such a find with its popular Cambodian soup, shrimp rolls and beef jerky with papaya.
Specializing in Vietnamese.

Saigon Restaurant   206-448-1089
1916 Pike Place, Seattle   Pike Place Market
Offering Vietnamese dishes since 1977, the dining area consists of red and white checked tablecloths under glass tops and a few counter seats. Choose from soup, salad and beef, chicken, pork and seafood dishes. They also offer a nice selection of vegetarian dishes.
Specializing in Vietnamese.

Square Lotus   425-679-0680
3540A Factoria Blvd SE, Bellevue   Factoria
Tucked away in Loehmann's Plaza, you don't expect the lovely and calm interior in this square room. Tables are nicely spaced with a semi-open kitchen in back with lovely woodwork on the wall. Most dishes can be ordered with meat or as a vegetarian meal (lemongrass chicken with actual or faux chicken). They offer appetizers, salads, soups, pho, noodle bowls and stir-fries.
Specializing in Vietnamese, Vegetarian.

Tamarind Tree   206-860-1404
1036 South Jackson St, Ste A, Seattle   International District (Little Saigon)
Let's just cut to the chase--it's great food. It's reasonably priced. It's lovely to look at. They have a full bar. The only drawback is that you sometimes have to wait in line because it's a very popular place. It's worth it.
Specializing in Vietnamese.

Tangerine Tree   206-322-2081
1430 Harvard Ave E, Ste 210, Seattle   Capitol Hill
On the top level of a two-story strip mall near a QFC and Bartell's, the Tangerine Tree looks uninteresting from the outside. Step inside and enter another world. Deep red walls, window blinds that make the parking lot fade away and beautiful wall sconces create a very cozy atmosphere. An extensive menu includes appetizers, salads, noodle soups, vermicelli platters or bowls, noodles, rice dishes, a good number of vegetarian dishes, soup, seafood dishes and a good number of larger plates (orange chicken, lemon garlic beef, etc.). Wine and beer.
Specializing in Vietnamese, Vegetarian.

Thanh Vi   206-633-7867
4226 NE University Way, Seattle   University District
In this small Vietnamese restaurant, a high counter runs along the left wall and tables fill the room to the right. Columns of white dishes and bowls are piled atop the counter, waiting for a cook to grab and fill as orders come in. Look for lots of rice dishes and noodle soups, Vietnamese crepes and charbroiled shrimp.
Specializing in Vietnamese.

The Signature   206-283-6614
530 1st Ave N, Seattle   Queen Anne (Lower)
Upbeat music, a comfortable lounge and dining room and good food make this a fun stop on Queen Anne. Family owned and operated, they treat guests like family. The family "signature" recipes are those that make things better, like no MSG. It's authentic Vietnamese food and you'll enjoy the flavors. On weekends, they serve food until 3:30 a.m. Full bar.
Specializing in Vietnamese, Late Night.

Thoa's Restaurant & Lounge   206-344-8088
96 Union St, Seattle   Downtown
Thoa Nguyen, the chef and restaurateur who brought us Chinoise Café, offers contemporary Vietnamese food at this great location. The full bar offers sake, wine, beer and cocktails.
Specializing in Vietnamese, cocktails, banquet (8-75), lunch.

Van Loi Noodle Company   206-725-8630
3226 Rainier Ave S, Seattle   South Seattle
If conversation wanes at the table, start watching the action on the other side of the room where noodles are being freshly made in the open kitchen. In addition to slurping down the banh hoi tom chay (rice vermicelli) at one of the ten or so tables, all items are available for take out.
Specializing in Vietnamese.

Viet Chi   206-622-4180
710 3rd Ave, Seattle   Downtown
A quick-food downtown place can be considered successful when it attracts customers even after the captive audience of business workers has gone home. Viet Chi offers Chinese and Vietnamese dishes in the evening as well as lunch fare. Atmosphere can be considered nonexistent, but that would miss the point.
Specializing in Vietnamese, Chinese.
