74th Street Ale House   206-784-2955
7401 Greenwood Ave N, Seattle   Greenwood
Greenwood's local pub provides plenty of local taps, an inventive menu and a smoke-free refuge.
Specializing in Pub Grub, Beer.

Admiral Pub   866-506-1217
2306 California Ave SW, Seattle   West Seattle
Hey, it's a tavern--neon beer signs in the windows and pool tables inside. The dining area is in the front of the room and the menu is standard pub grub with steak and pasta thrown in for good measure and they take great pride in their fish and chips. Lots of beers on tap as well as microbrews and a full bar..
Specializing in Pub Grub.

Barking Dog Alehouse   206-782-2974
705 NW 70th St, Seattle   Ballard
A little loud when it's full, but the Barking Dog serves up a fresh selection of pub grub, unique beers on tap and plenty of scotch selections.
Specializing in Eclectic, Pub Grub, Breakfast (weekends only).

Belltown Pub   206-448-6210
2322 First Ave, Seattle   Belltown
They hope to be the Belltown neighborhood hang-out with a great pub burger, pasta, soup, duck salad sandwich, trout and a smoked salmon tamale. Local craft beer is featured. Watch some sport on the six TVs or stand around and visit with others. Booths offer a more private experience, or head to the bar or the upstairs tables. Full bar.
Specializing in Pub Grub, Sports, Seafood, Beer.

Big Time Brewery & Alehouse   206-545-4509
4133 University Way NE, Seattle   University District
When you're kicking back and aren't looking for ambiance, this is your place. Mismatched tables and chairs, pizza, sandwiches, beer and wine--it all works. They brew their own beer and even distribute it to other Seattle alehouses. The basic concept of Big Time? "Have a beer."
Specializing in Pub Grub.

Bohemian Café   206-447-1514
111 Yesler Way, Seattle   Pioneer Square
Large windows, neon and bright lights invite you in to dance and listen to local and national musical acts in the café. In the lounge, seventies, eighties and nineties dance tunes get people out of their chairs and moving on the floor. Pub food, burgers and sandwiches, prevails. The full bar and specialty beers keep the joint jumping.
Specializing in Pub Grub.

Boxcar Alehouse   206-286-7000
3407 Gilman Ave W, Seattle   Magnolia
Ever feel thirsty on a Thursday? Well, you're just the demographic the Boxcar Alehouse is going after with their "Thirsty Thursdays" low-cost beer night. Locals hang here playing foosball, darts or watching TV. This is the side of Magnolia you don't hear about.
Specializing in Tavern, Pub Grub.

Buckaroo Tavern   206-634-3161
4201 Fremont Ave N, Seattle   Fremont
A cautionary note is often unnecessarily sounded when a large number of motorcycles are seen outside an establishment. In the Buckaroo’s case, it’s an average day and shouldn’t cause concern. Fremont neighbors use it as their hangout to play pool and pinball and have a brew. Lots of wood inside and tall booths to relax in while eating the no-frills pub fare.
Specializing in Pub Grub, Tavern.

Buckley's in Belltown   206-588-8879
2331 2nd Ave, Seattle   Belltown
Location number two for Buckley's. Lots of familiars on the menu: coconut prawns, chicken wings, burgers, salads, sandwiches, pasta, fish and chips, meatloaf. Plenty of beer. Full bar. Kids welcome.
Specializing in Pub Grub, Burgers, Sandwiches, Breakfast (weekends), American.

Buckley's on Queen Anne   206-691-0232
232 First Ave W, Seattle   Queen Anne (Lower)
Let's hope Buckley's makes a go of it (in general and in this location which has turned over so much that it makes your head spin). It's a place that feels like things are happening there--probably because of the high ceilings. It's loud most of the time and really loud when a sporting event is on TV. Good burgers, salads, fish and chips and sandwiches fill the pub grub category, but there are also pastas, a stir fry, chicken and steak.
Specializing in Pub Grub, International, Breakfast (weekends).

Chopstix   206-270-4444
11 Roy St, Seattle   Queen Anne (Lower)
This relatively small place packs a bunch of fun with dueling pianos--you've never seen pianists work so hard. They entertain with great songs that everyone can sing along to when their mouths aren't around casual but good food and drinks from the full bar.
Specializing in American, Pub Grub, Music.

Collins Pub   206-623-1016
526 Second Ave, Seattle   Pioneer Square
It’s pretty--brick wall up front, wood booths and warm colors. The high ceilings, three TVs and music playing over the din of conversation make for a really loud environment. A nice bar runs almost the length of the restaurant and the tables in back are easily rearranged for the monthly wine dinners. The menu is described as "updated pub grub" and includes burgers, fish and chips, salads and some comfort food like scalloped potatoes and ham.
Specializing in Pub Grub.

Columbia City Ale House   206-723-5123
4914 Rainier S, Seattle   Columbia City
The oasis of Columbia City provides locals and visitors a host of choices and this ale house stands out as a favorite. Local pub atmosphere with plenty of brews on tap with a hefty menu.
Specializing in Pub Grub, Beer.

Dad Watson's   206-632-6505
3601 Fremont Ave N, Seattle   Fremont
For a large, open tavern, this Fremont pub is remarkably cozy. Dark tables and booths covered in dark-colored fabric look intimate in the light cast by table lamps sitting on window shelves. Potted plants lend a homey air. Menus are similar at all the McMenamin's pubs (although pubs mostly operate under different names). Salads, burgers, pastas and sandwiches join the ales brewed by McMenamin's.
Specializing in Pub Grub.

Dante's   206-525-1300
5300 Roosevelt Way NE, Seattle   University District
Dante's has been part of the University experience for years--who knows how many students have passed (or passed out) through these doors. All the priorities are met--big screen satellite TV, pinball, foosball, air hockey and video games. Full bar, beer, wine. Food-wise, it's pub grub--burgers, appetizers, chicken, salads.
Specializing in American, Pub Grub, Sports.

Dexter & Hayes Public House   206-283-7786
1628 Dexter Ave N, Seattle   Queen Anne (Lower)
You have to appreciate a pub that advertises its "jardin" seating in the summer. This small pub offers pools, darts and TV sports along with microbrews on tap. Simple pub food helps pass the time.
Specializing in Pub Grub.

Dubliner Tavern   206-548-1508
3517 Fremont Ave N, Seattle   Fremont
It’s obvious when a tavern has been around awhile and is really used by its patrons. The rough wood counters and green-topped tables in this Fremont establishment are chipped and gouged, a sure sign of happy guzzlers banging glasses and plates over the years. Traditional pub food is offered.
Specializing in Pub Grub.

Eliott Bay Brewing Company   206-246-4211
255 SW 152nd St, Burien   Burien
Sibling to the original pub in West Seattle, it's larger but with the same intent to be a hang out for families in the neighborhood. Check out the window in the floor where you can see into the brewery. As with West Seattle, there's a brewer on staff working hard on your behalf. High-end pub food complements the beer.
Specializing in Beer, Pub Grub, Kid-Friendly.

Elliott Bay Brewing Company   206-932-8695
4720 California Ave SW, Seattle   West Seattle
At last count, this small neighborhood brewery had a seven-barrel brewery system used to produce handcrafted ales. Because of their size, the pub has a warm neighborhood feel. The menu includes ahi tacos, crabcake sandwiches, Philly cheesesteak and Caribbean pork. They also have a number of kids' plates.
Specializing in Pub Grub, Beer, Kid-Friendly.

Elysian Brewing Company-Capitol Hill   206-860-1920
1221 Pike St, Seattle   Capitol Hill
Some of the finest locally crafted brews and an excellent vegetarian menu that even a carnivore would enjoy. Evenings feature local live music and there's always darts.
Specializing in Pub Grub, Beer, Vegetarian, Late Night.
