Chao Bistro Bar   206-324-1010
1200 E Pike St, Seattle   Capitol Hill
"Comfort food with a contemporary twist" and lots of Pacific Rim ingredients means ribs with a banana barbecue sauce, miso fettucine, orange glazed tofu, kalbi tacos and burgers. Dark interior (but lots of windows in the bar), an open kitchen and an intimate dining room offer a pleasant environment.
Specializing in Eclectic, Fusion, Japanese.

Jasmine   206-382-2161
1102 4th Ave, Seattle   Downtown
On looks alone, Jasmine is a draw. The front of the house is the bar--small spot lights beam up at the bar from foot level, a blue-lit table draws your eyes and blue globes hang in the front window. A lounging area across from the bar sports wire mesh dividing curtains that give a hint of privacy. Textures play a big part--a "furry" fabric curtain, tiles on the wall, earth-toned reds and oranges mix with blues and greens. It works. The dining room is a few steps up in the back. At lunch it's an "open stir fry bar" (very Mongolian grill-ish). At dinner, choose from internationally spiced seafood, salmon, steak and chicken.
Specializing in Fusion, Asian, International, Cocktails.

Purple Dot Café   206-622-0288
515 Maynard Ave S, Seattle   International District
Like many Hong Kong cafes, this one serves up quite a melange of dishes. Think Hawaiian-style pineapple and seafood fried rice served in a pineapple shell, French-style baked seabass with Japanese-style baked oysters or chicken served in a green coconut shell. There are a number of steaks, congee, noodle soups and dim sum. All very inexpensive.
Specializing in Fusion, Chinese, International, Dim Sum.

The Triple Door   206-838-4333
216 Union St, Seattle   Downtown
From 1926 to 1983, the Mann Building was home to some form of entertainment. Renovation began in 2002 and The Triple Door has been providing great live musical entertainment ever since. Along with the best in sound and lighting, they offer food from Wild Ginger (located above Triple Door). Covering China, Malaysia, Cambodia, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam, the menu offers satay, fragrant duck, seven flavor beef, seafood Thai noodles and more. Interesting cocktails and an extensive wine list round out the package.
Specializing in Asian, Fusion, Music, Cocktails, Wine.

Wild Ginger   206-623-4450
1401 Third Ave, Seattle   Downtown
One of the most popular restaurants in the city, Wild Ginger features Asian Fusion and a waiting list that can be days long. Make your reservations now. Bars on two levels provide drinking and eating room (one allows smoking, one doesn't). The lovely main dining room hosts the popular large wood booths. Spices, sauces and flavors you didn't know exist keep you coming back for more.
Specializing in Asian, Fusion.
