35th Street Bistro   206-547-9850
709 N 35th, Seattle   Fremont
Bistro is a word that gets tossed around a lot, but it really is appropriate here. It's a small café-style spot with mixed wood furniture, live trees and a small bar area with a few tall tables to go with the bar seating. Whenever possible, they use local, organic foods. Dishes include braised meats and fresh seafood. There's a good-sized wine list with plenty of by-the-glass options. Tasty brunch and bar menu.
Specializing in European, French, Italian, Northwest, Outdoor, Seafood, Brunch (Sat-Sun), Romance, Wine, Christmas (Eve), New Years (Eve).

611 Supreme Creperie Café   206-328-0292
611 E Pine St, Seattle   Capitol Hill
Intentional simplicity makes this restaurant a charming place to dine. All fare is tasty, but the desserts are superb.
Specializing in French, Dessert.

Bastille Café & Bar   206-453-5014
5307 Ballard Ave NW, Seattle   Ballard
This dramatic spot is filled with fixtures found in Paris flea markets and uses white tile and black iron work to good effect. You'll want to belly up to the 45-foot long zinc-topped bar. The 4500 square foot roof garden provides fresh lettuce and herbs all year long. A French menu includes sandwiches, small plates and entrees that range from mussels to rabbit to steak. Full bar.
Specializing in French, Brunch (Sunday).

Brasserie Margaux   206-777-1990
401 Lenora St, Seattle   Downtown
Since it's located in the Warwick Hotel, you can find breakfast, lunch and dinner. Pretty good breakfasts, although a bit pricey. Warm tones and dark wood create an inviting atmosphere. Full bar.
Specializing in French, Thanksgiving, Christmas (Dinner), New Year's (Eve).

Café Bonjour   206-285-1125
1629 Queen Anne Ave N, Seattle   Queen Anne (Upper)
A Queen Anne mini-gem, Café Bonjour offers an unusual and delicious mix of Hungarian goulash, stuffed cabbage rolls, panini, salads, sweet and savory crepes and more. Café Campagne   206-728-2233
1600 Post Alley, Seattle   Pike Place
This French country café is an offshoot of Campagne, its sophisticated sibling. Both atmosphere and menu take a step toward casual in this cozy spot near Pike Place Public Market. A quarterly change in the menu assures customers of fresh, seasonal dishes, although a few stay on as standards.
Specializing in French, Romance, Christmas Eve (Brunch 8-5), New Years (Eve).

Café de Paris   425-771-2350
109 Main St, Edmonds   Edmonds
A sometimes overlooked gem, Café de Paris has been an Edmonds resident for many years. The intimate yet open interior provides a lovely backdrop for very tasty and reasonably-priced French food. The owner is very personable and makes your visit one you wish to repeat. Full bar.

Campagne   206-728-2800
86 Pine St, Seattle   Pike Place Market
Housed in the courtyard of Inn at the Market at the Pike Place Market, this restaurant is a fine example of a southern French eatery. The food is fresh with wonderful flavors, and the desserts are heavenly. A wonderful wine list tops it off. Calm in the midst of chaos.

La Cote Creperie   206-323-9800

Le Fournil   206-328-6523
3230 Eastlake Ave E, Seattle   Eastlake
A French bakery at the south end of the University Bridge, it's not really a place to stay and eat, as it’s mostly a bakery (lemon tarts, pain au chocolate, croissants, along with the breads), although there are a few tables and benches to share. For lunch there are quiches (ham and caramelized onion), and baguette sandwiches (made on crusty bread with a hint of rye).
Specializing in French, Sandwiches, Bakery.

Le Gourmand and Sambar   206-784-3463
425 NW Market St, Seattle   Ballard
This French kitchen uses only Northwest ingredients, many of them homegrown from the owner's garden. Try the pastries as well, they are fresh and mouth-watering treats. Blintzes, terrines, fabulous soups--French is good. The tiny Sambar lounge next door is great for an intimate experience. Smaller menu, fun cocktails in a little tiny space.
Specializing in French.

Le Pichet   206-256-1499
1933 1st Ave, Seattle   Downtown
This is a very casual and friendly Parisian restaurant that will leave you feeling warm and fuzzy, not to mention full. You'll think you're in Paris without the air fare. I love the smell of café au lait in the morning.
Specializing in French.

Maximilien in the Market   206-682-7270

Tired of the same old thing? Looking for a new experience? You've got it at Toulouse Petit. Bold colors outside and in, lots of beautiful metal work and an integrated bar and dining scene make for an appealing experience.
