Beach Café   425-889-9052
1270 Carillon Pt, Kirkland   Kirkland
A view like this is almost enough, but you also get great, familiar favorites (burgers, fish tacos, salads, meatloaf). Friendly service, casual food and an incredible view--you're right on the lake! Doesn't matter if you come in shorts or a business suit. Full bar.

FOX Sports Grill   206-340-1369
1522 6th Ave, Seattle   Downtown
Lots of "natural" wonders here--a couple of waterfalls and some rock walls. Upstairs inside the entrance are more tables with ringside seats for watching sidewalk sports as well as those on TV. Downstairs the bar/dining area has several large screen TVs and numerous small screens around the room--can't miss a moment of FOX! A separate non-blaring TV dining room (of course there is a TV there, it's just turned down a bit) is a nice change of pace. The wine room is great for a private party. Chicken strips, prime rib dips, steaks and a fresh sheet plus some nice desserts are what to expect from the menu. Tasty large salads, also. Breakfast is available on weekends until 2 p .m. Full bar.
Specializing in American, Sports, Breakfast (weekends only), Banquet, Kid-Friendly.

Salish Lodge Dining Room   800-272-5474 or 425-888-2556
6501 Railroad Avenue SE, Snoqualmie   Other Eastside, Out-of-Town!
Simply the most romantic out-of-the-way dining near Seattle. The five star restaurant is complimented by a breathtaking view of the falls below and on cold winter days you can anticipate snow. Sit near the fireplace and enjoy a little history--it's the last original feature of the Lodge and is nearly 100 years old. In addition to the intimate and cozy dining room, there's a nook that holds two, one for four and one that holds no more than 10. That room is tucked away one floor below the dining room and has it's own private deck. Lovely. Open for lunch and dinner.
Specializing in Northwest, Seafood, Breakfast, Romance, View, Thanksgiving, Banquet, Easter, Wine, Lunch.

2305 Eastlake Ave E, Seattle   Eastlake
Enjoy a leisurely lunch, brunch or breakfast at Eastlake's 14 Carrot Café. Standard breakfast fare with some nifty specials thrown in each day and an excellent latte cart outside on the sidewalk make this place worth waiting in line when it's busy.

5 Spot   206-285-7768
1502 Queen Anne Ave N, Seattle   Queen Anne (Upper)
Always celebrating an American region, the 5 Spot brings you the tastes of New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, the south and many others on a rotating basis. Along with the food, decorations depicting the chosen region also rotate. Be aware that it can get loud in the main dining room. If you want something less so, ask to be seated in the back room.
Specializing in American, Brunch, Breakfast, Diner, New Years (day).

Alki Bakery   206-935-1352
2738 Alki Ave SW, Seattle   West Seattle
Espresso, smoothies, pastries, salads, sandwiches, soup, pasta, quiche. It's all here and with a fine view, too.
Specializing in American, Breakfast.

Alki Café Beach Bistro   206-935-0616
2726 Alki Ave SW, Seattle   West Seattle
Just across the street from the waters of Elliott Bay lies the Alki Café on the north shore of West Seattle where tasty food and good service await you. Walk off your meal with a stroll along the waterside parkway. This is a breakfast (until 2 p.m.) and lunch-only spot, but the menu is broad. Look for pastas, steamed clams, salads, soup and burgers.
Specializing in American, Breakfast.

Andaluca   206-382-6999
407 Olive Wy, Seattle   Downtown
Located in the Euro-style Mayflower Park Hotel, Andaluca provides an elegant atmosphere. Colors are muted and booths and tables are fairly private. The Mediterranean menu includes tapas and full meals. An award winning favorite with many.
Specializing in Mediterranean, Romantic, Vegetarian, Tapas, Breakfast, Thanksgiving, Christmas (Eve and Day-no lunch on day), New Years (Eve and Day-breakfast and dinner only).

Bacco Bistro   206-443-5443
86 Pine St, Seattle   Pike Place Market
Bacco Café opened in 2001 and has proven so popular, Bacco Bistro opened in 2004 to offer added space and more. In addition to the great breakfast options, homemade soup and sandwiches appear at lunch. Stop in for a drink at the juice bar, an espresso or a glass of wine or beer.
Specializing in Breakfast, Lunch, Soup, Sandwiches.

Bamboo Bar & Grill   206-937-3023
2806 Alki Ave SW, Seattle   West Seattle
Going to the Bamboo is a bit like going on vacation. If you're inside, there are flowered stools and tiki tchotchkes. If you're outside, you're under an umbrella right across from the beach. Tough decision. The menu has many choices, some of them tiki-esque (do they have burger dips in Polynesia?). But there is something for just about everyone, so make your selection and enjoy your vacation.
Specializing in American, Breakfast (weekends only).

Barking Dog Alehouse   206-782-2974
705 NW 70th St, Seattle   Ballard
A little loud when it's full, but the Barking Dog serves up a fresh selection of pub grub, unique beers on tap and plenty of scotch selections.
Specializing in Eclectic, Pub Grub, Breakfast (weekends only).

Bay Café   206-282-3435
1900 W Nickerson St, Fisherman's Terminal, Seattle   Magnolia
Breakfast all day, "deluxe" hamburgers and fountain "delights" like malts--it's a diner with a view of the fishing fleet at Fisherman's Terminal. Large windows let in lots of light.
Specializing in American, Breakfast, Diner.

Full bar.

Beba's Deli Market   206-770-9595
2301 5th Ave, Suite 103, Seattle   Downtown
Beba's has been around for a long time and is still a great place for sandwiches. But owner Nazir Khamisa has taken it to a new level, creating a place where you can get almost anything between 6:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Pasta? They've got it. Breakfast? You bet. Jumbo baked potatoes, lasagna, espresso, salads, soup? Yes, yes, yes.
Specializing in Breakfast, Sandwiches, Coffee, International.

Beth's Café   206-782-5588
7311 Aurora Ave N, Seattle   Green Lake
A legend in its own time, Beth’s has now spread next door (Beth’s Annex). Generations, it seems, of drinkers know this is where you go at the end of the evening. Where else can you find 12-egg omelets and hash browns that don’t quite fit on the plate? There are other menu items, but breakfast is served 24 hours a day. Why mess with tradition?
Specializing in American, Breakfast.

Buckley's in Belltown   206-588-8879
2331 2nd Ave, Seattle   Belltown
Location number two for Buckley's. Lots of familiars on the menu: coconut prawns, chicken wings, burgers, salads, sandwiches, pasta, fish and chips, meatloaf. Plenty of beer. Full bar. Kids welcome.
Specializing in Pub Grub, Burgers, Sandwiches, Breakfast (weekends), American.

Buckley's on Queen Anne   206-691-0232
232 First Ave W, Seattle   Queen Anne (Lower)
Let's hope Buckley's makes a go of it (in general and in this location which has turned over so much that it makes your head spin). It's a place that feels like things are happening there--probably because of the high ceilings. It's loud most of the time and really loud when a sporting event is on TV. Good burgers, salads, fish and chips and sandwiches fill the pub grub category, but there are also pastas, a stir fry, chicken and steak.
Specializing in Pub Grub, International, Breakfast (weekends).

Canterbury   206-322-3130
534 15th Ave E, Seattle   Capitol Hill
A large English lodge plopped down onto 15th should look odd, but it’s been here so long that it would seem wrong without it. Although not open until 11 a.m., breakfast is served from that point on--omelets, pancakes, huevos rancheros. The menu is lengthy and has something to please everyone. Full bar.
Specializing in American, Breakfast.

Charlestown Street Café   206-937-3800
3800 California Ave SW, Seattle   West Seattle
A family, American-style restaurant offers tables, booths and counter seats. They are the undefeated champions of the Great Chowder Cookoff in Newport, Rhode Island (at least from 2000-2002 and maybe beyond). The regular menu offers beef stroganoff, salmon fettucini, halibut, Thai salad, burgers and sandwiches. Breakfast includes chicken enchilada omelets, berry crepes and cinnamon rolls. They also offer senior suppers for those over 55 and specials depending on the time of year, like Oktoberfest dishes of sauerbraten and special beers.
Specializing in American, Breakfast.

Christo's on Alki   206-923-2200
2508 Alki Ave SW, Seattle   West Seattle
Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, JoAnn Gianouva Fotopouls has been open since 2000. Dishes include pancakes, eggs Benedict, omelets, burgers, sandwiches, salmon, oysters, salads and more. Although right on Alki, it's not just a spot for those seeking the view. It's a very neighborly, family-friendly place where people know each other and everyone's welcome. Full bar.
Specializing in American, Breakfast, Kid-Friendly.

Chutney's Grille on the Hill   206-726-1000
605 15th Ave E, Seattle   Capitol Hill
A nice corner spot with lots of windows, mellow colors on the walls and cloths on the tables. Fresh ingredients are used at this Indian bistro to produce delicious dishes like tandoori halibut and prawns in coconut cream sauce. Standard items on the lunch buffet, but fresh quality makes it a stand-out. The Chaat Lounge is a relaxed bar area where guest can relax on couches, enjoy interesting cocktails and small plates. Chutney's also offers breakfast and brunch on weekends.
Specializing in Indian, Christmas (Eve and Day), New Year's (Eve and Day), Brunch, Breakfast.

Coastal Kitchen   206-322-1145
425 15th Ave E, Seattle   Capitol Hill
Large portions and an open kitchen await when you visit Capitol Hill's Coastal Kitchen. Menu changes every few months and the custom-made foreign language tape loops in the bathrooms will send you back to the table with a smile on your face.
Specializing in American, Late Night, Brunch, Breakfast.

Coldwater Bar and Grill   206-256-7697
1900 5th Ave (in the Westin Hotel), Seattle   Downtown
Earth tones and retro hanging lamps conspire to ease you into a relaxing time at Coldwater. With a focus on regional seafood and Northwest dishes, this Westin Hotel restaurant is a pleaser. An upstairs area provides a wonderful private dining experience or may be used as an extension of the main floor dining room on busy evenings. The tiramisu topped with crème brulee is sure to be their trademark dessert (along with the fun cocktails).
Specializing in Seafood, Northwest, Cocktails, Dessert, Banquet, Breakfast, Lunch, Wine, Thanksgiving.
