Once the enormous vats come into view, you realize why; this is the site of their brewery also. Wine and Hale's ales are the only alcohol served. Hop Vine   206-328-3120     507 15th E, Seattle   Capitol Hill Capitol Hill's little pub that could, the Hop Vine has enjoyed a long stay in the neighborhood. Owned by the same folks that run Latona by Greenlake and Fiddler's Inn, it provides a simple, cozy, neighborly atmoshere. The Monday open mic is a popular one. KISS Café   206-789-KISS (5477)     2817 NW Market St, Seattle   Ballard Keep it simple Seattle! And the KISS Café does just that. The menu features basic sandwiches as well as a few standards perhaps you hadn’t thought about in a while like a PB&J. There are also a few soup and salad offerings. Things get a little adventuresome, uh - spicy, when you order up Oakley’s Jambalya which incorporates jalapenos where the Okra used to be. They tout an extensive beer and wine selection (sorry kids, no hard drinks here--uh-well, they do have hard cider).
