Chinoise   206-323-0171
2801 E Madison, Seattle   Madison Valley
Chinoise Cafes are bustling places, mostly because the food is good and people flock to the nice yet casual atmosphere. Sushi is fresh and it's fun to sit at the counter and watch the chefs.
Specializing in Asian, Japanese, Sushi.

Chinoise Café   206-284-6671
12 Boston St, Seattle   Queen Anne (Upper)
This upper Queen Anne restaurant is fast-paced, noisy and full all the time. You feel part of the neighborhood as you peruse the pan-Asian menu. Lemon grass stir-fries, sushi, sashimi, udon, soups--it's all here and done very well, consistently.
Specializing in Asian, Sushi, Japanese.

Chinoise Café on 45th   206-633-1160
1618 N 45th, Seattle   Wallingford
If you love the other Chinoise cafes, this should be another happy place for you. Enjoy fresh sushi at the counter, or take a table and go for curries and noodle bowls.
Specializing in Japanese, Asian, Sushi.

Dragonfish Asian Café   206-467-7777
722 Pine St, Seattle   Downtown
This pan-Asian food is colorful and comfortable. Juxtaposed to the Parmamount, there is a hip and energetic theater crowd. Great bento boxes and dim sum happy hour. The bar is small and always full. There are some nice big booths to spread out in or share with your friends. One of its best features is that the kitchen is open seven days a week until 1 a.m.
Specializing in Asian, Happy Hour, Banquet.

Himalayan Sherpa Restaurant   206-633-2100
4214 University Wy NE, Seattle   University District
If you want to feel like you've walked through a time warp from Seattle to Tibet, come to this charming yet simple restaurant. In the mood for yak? This is the place to go.
Specializing in Asian, Indian.

Jasmine   206-382-2161
1102 4th Ave, Seattle   Downtown
On looks alone, Jasmine is a draw. The front of the house is the bar--small spot lights beam up at the bar from foot level, a blue-lit table draws your eyes and blue globes hang in the front window. A lounging area across from the bar sports wire mesh dividing curtains that give a hint of privacy. Textures play a big part--a "furry" fabric curtain, tiles on the wall, earth-toned reds and oranges mix with blues and greens. It works. The dining room is a few steps up in the back. At lunch it's an "open stir fry bar" (very Mongolian grill-ish). At dinner, choose from internationally spiced seafood, salmon, steak and chicken.
Specializing in Fusion, Asian, International, Cocktails.

Joule   206-632-1913
1913 N 45th St, Seattle   Wallingford
A little hard to pigeon-hole (and do you need to?), it's American food with an Asian influence--for instance, lamb sirloin with sesame leaf emulsion and pickled fennel. Don't avoid it because it's unfamiliar; you'll miss trying something good. Sit at dark tables with benches along the wall or the counter seats. A spare look, but comfortable.
Specializing in American, Asian.

Madrona Bar & Grill, Roche Harbor   800-451-8910, extension 400
248 Reuben Memorial Drive, Roche Harbor   Out-of-town!
When you’re in the San Juans, Roche Harbor is a must-visit. The harbor is filled with boats small and large and offers great viewing while dining. Located in a local historic home right on the water, the Madrona is named for a madrona trunk that holds up the ceiling joist. Popular primarily in the summer when the waterfront deck is open and seating is available under the gazebo, Madrona offers a Pacific Rim menu for lunch, appetizers and light dinner. If you’ve had enough fresh air, you can always dine inside the bar. Summer weekends also bring live music.
Specializing in Northwest, Asian.

Malay Satay   425-564-0888
15230 NE 24th St, Ste K, Redmond   Redmond
If you remember the first Malay (pre-fire) in the International District, this Bellevue sibling will seem familiar yet amazingly different. It's large, airy with high ceilings and has a bamboo "roof" over one section. The bold murals and semi-open kitchen and prep areas will seem more familiar. The menu provides pictures--you need something to help you make up your mind.
Specializing in Malaysian, Asian, Indian, Chinese.

Malay Satay   206-324-4091
212 12th Ave S, Seattle   International District
The dizzying combination of Malaysia, China, India, and Thailand come together in this eclectic and well-priced restaurant. Dark wood makes this a cozy spot for lunch and dinner. It's busy and fun.
Specializing in Malaysian, Asian, Indian, Chinese.

Noodle Ranch   206-728-0463
2228 2nd Ave, Seattle   Belltown
Not too fancy, but the lunch and dinner crowds of Belltown keep the place full and swear by it. As it should be in an international noodle shop, the dishes have no boundaries.
Specializing in Asian, Thai.

Provinces   425-744-0288
201 Fifth Ave S #1, Edmonds   Edmonds
The kitchen plays tastes, textures and colors off each other to give a thrill to your taste buds. The menu is pan-Asian and includes dishes from China and Thailand.
Specializing in Asian, Chinese, Thai.

Red Crane Steak & Sushi   206-546-4444
16716 Aurora Ave N, Seattle   Shoreline
Located in the Club Hollywood Casino, Red Crane is a sea of calm compared to the rest of the building. Two dining rooms (smoking, nonsmoking) are filled with movie memorabilia. Red lights hover over the sushi bar. Menu items range from, yes, steak and sushi to wok-fried dishes, noodles and satay.
Specializing in Steak, Sushi, Asian.

The Triple Door   206-838-4333
216 Union St, Seattle   Downtown

Watercress Asian Bistro   425-284-3188
16505 Redmond Way (Cleveland Square), Redmond   Redmond
Cool and dim, watercress asian bistro is pleasant and simple with pistachio-colored bar seats and waiting couch. Reasonable prices are offered on menu items like wok-fried salmon in a honey-flavored sauce and five star beef with ginger and scallions. Soups, salads and vegies supplement the tasty main dishes. Bars on two levels provide drinking and eating room (one allows smoking, one doesn't). The lovely main dining room hosts the popular large wood booths. Spices, sauces and flavors you didn't know exist keep you coming back for more.
Specializing in Asian, Fusion.
